Laminated Jute Shopping Bag

Raw Jute
It is 100% biodegradable and has the lowest possible environmental impact.

We treat our Raw Jute with Vegetable Starch during production to ensure it looks and feels great when made up in to a bag.

The starch stiffens the fabric and you end up with a slightly more 'structured' feel to the fabric. 

Laminated Jute
Laminated Jute looks exactly like Raw Jute on the outside and has an additional thin layer of Polypropylene (PP) applied to the inside to stiffen and protect the natural fibres.  The lamination creates a structured, solid, long-lasting bag.

When times comes to discard the bag, the PP layer can be removed which leaves to completely biodegradable Jute bag.

We have Jute Bags available in a variety of fabric colours to suit almost every need.

Printing
All our Jute Bags can be easily screen printed – we suggest no more than 3 colours.

Jute does have quite a coarse texture and therefore the most successful design on Jute will be bold and simple.

Fine lines and detail may be corrupted by the natural (and variable) texture of the fibres and is not recommended.
